Mission
The Iota Beta Chapter of the Phi Alpha Honor Society has been active at the EWU School of Social Work (SSW) since 2014. The National Phi Alpha Honor Society fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership those who have excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work in the BASW and MSW programs. The Honor Society slogan is Through Knowledge-the Challenge to Serve. The EWU SSW Iota Beta Chapter provides students with acknowledgment of academic achievement, collective efforts for community service with classmates, community members, and faculty opportunities to further the social work profession. Leadership opportunities in the Chapter Opportunities for scholarships from Phi Alpha Lifetime membership gives you access to an international network of social work students and graduates.
