The Exercise Science Club is excited to announce the fifth annual Sativa
Transue Memorial 5k!

Sativa was born in Spokane and moved to Cheney at the age of 12. She graduated from Cheney High School, where she was voted the student with the Most Contagious Laugh. She went on to earn her BS in Exercise Science from EWU, graduating in 2017. Tragically, Sativa lost her life to domestic violence in 2021 while on a holiday vacation. She was only 25 years old. Our club hosts this event as a tribute to Sativa, an outstanding member of our community, and to bring awareness to the impact of domestic violence.

All funds raised in support of this event are donated to the YWCA’s Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence Program, Spokanimals, and to ensuring our club can host this event for the following year. Join us for a morning of fun on Roos Field and enjoy music, community booths, and activities before and after the race!
