DKMS 9/25 (NeighborFest)
*mandatory training prior*
DKMS is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting blood cancers like leukemia and other blood-related illnesses by inspiring men and women around the world to register as potential bone marrow and blood stem cell donors. DKMS provides patients with a second chance at life, and the donor journey begins with a swab of the cheek that takes less than two minutes and can be the action that leads to a lifesaving transplant.
Increasing the amount of people in the donor pool increases DKMS ability to perform lifesaving marrow donations and create more heroes like you! To date, DKMS has provided over 130,000 second chances at life. This is all thanks to our donor pool of 13 million potential donors and donors like you! But, only 1% of potential donors get the call that they are a patient in need’s match.
