🎃 Get Ready for Fun This Fall!
There’s something for everyone at Eastern as we wrap up October and head into November! Meet new people, celebrate Spooky Season, and step out of your comfort zone with events happening all across campus. Cheer on teams at the Wheelchair Basketball Tournament (10/25–10/26), show off your creativity at Eagle Entertainment’s Sip and Carve or Paint and Sip, and get moving at Salsaween or Zumba with the JLRMC. Feeling artsy? Visit the EWU Art Gallery — or if you’re a Lego lover, Eagle Entertainment has a week just you in November.
Stop by EPIC Adventures for free S’mores with our trip staff. Learn about our upcoming trips, make new friends, and much more. Stick around at 5pm for outdoor skills workshops where you can learn new skills, play with gear, and get your outdoor questions answered.
In this event the students are able to choose their pumpkins; their able to carve their pumpkins and their also able to paint it. Everything is being provided for the students which means the pumpkins itself, paint, and other materials are provided. It’s free for the students.
Join us for a fun and energetic salsa session led by a professional instructor and co-hosted by Mi Gente: Latinos Unidos de EWU, Ballet Folklorico de Aztlan, and the JLR Multicultural Center! Learn some new moves and warm up for MEChA's Day of the Dead dance the following week.
This event is open to all skill levels, no experience required. The first hour will include a lesson, followed by open dance in the second hour. Treats (no tricks) provided. Costumes are encouraged.
Join the JLR Multicultural Center and the Eagle Pride Center for our mixer event! There will be a candy charcuterie board, Mario Kart, and other Nintendo Switch games. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Internships open doors to future careers—this workshop will show you how to find them. Explore effective search strategies, including online platforms, networking, and business directories.
We’ll also cover tips for applying, so you can land the right experience for your goals.
EWU Women's Basketball hosts Whitworth for an exhibition game at Reese Court on Wednesday, October 29th, with a 6 PM tipoff. Come out and support your Eags in this preseason preview of Head Coach Joddie Gleason's squad. Students get FREE tickets to home basketball games, visit goeags.com/student to get your tickets. Join the Eags for the Native American Heritage Month Kickoff presented by Northern Quest Resort & Casino and the Kalispel Tribe of Indians as the Eags host Sacramento State on Saturday, November 1st with a 1 PM kickoff (gates open at 11:30 AM) at Roos Field in Cheney.
We'll have 1,000 specialty rooter cards presented by the Kalispel Tribe as the Eags wear a special game helmet logo with the Salish phrase uł pql̓qeyn or "group of Eagles" (pronounced oo-th p-kill-cane).
The first 2,000 fans will also receive a beanie courtesy of BECU.
Starting two (2) hours before kickoff (11 AM) and free to attend is the Numerica RedZone Tailgate located in parking lot P16 behind the east bleachers on Washington Street. Stop by and enjoy free food and drinks, inflatables for the kids (slide & obstacle course), tailgate games (cornhole, fowling, & jenga), plus giveaways and free swag!
Food Trucks are at Roos Field! Enjoy some tasty treats from our friends from Tacos Camargo, Island Style Food & BBQ, Rosa's Pizza, Ben and Jerry's, and Lilac City Coffee as we expand our game day menu. Their trucks and service areas will be spread around Roos Field.
Tailgate lots open at 6 PM on Friday, October 31st for load-in and at 8 AM on game day. There are student tailgate spots available in Lot P16 North but you have to reserve them in advance and there are limited spots available! Get yours today via the Club Sports Federation & Athletics EagleSync pages.
ASEWU, with the Spokane County Elections office, cohosts this annual event on Election Day. Register to vote, access your ballot for the first time, drop off your completed ballot, find out more about what's on your ballot, or get a replacement ballot if you lost yours or you're away from home (you can print out replacement ballots from anywhere in Washington state). Just don't forget to vote!
Join fellow Eagles for an afternoon of fresh air, teamwork, and impact! Help the EWU Community Garden get ready for winter as we clear out crops, harvest produce, prep garden beds, and lay the foundation for a new patio space.
No experience needed — we’ll provide all the tools and gloves! Just bring closed-toe shoes, warm layers, and your can-do attitude.
Beyond getting your hands dirty, you’ll meet awesome people, learn a few gardening tricks, and make a real difference in supporting local food access and sustainability at EWU.

The main class will take place from 5:30-6:30pm, followed by some wrap-up activities and a continued dance party upstairs in the JLRMC (Just Dance, anyone?).
We’re having someone come in and guiding the students with their painting. We’re going to be providing hot chocolate and apple cider for the students. It’s free for the students and everything is being provided.
Join the Eagle Pride Center in celebrating Transgender Awareness Week by visiting our educational display in the JFK Library. The display will be up for the whole week, so go check it out whenever you have a free moment. Everyone is welcome.
