Historical Philanthropies:
From 1931 until 1967, when the U.S. Government Social Service Programs broadened to include rural areas, AOII supported the Frontier Nursing Service as their national philanthropy.
Our Mascot, The Panda Bear.
In 1976, AOII adopted the Panda Bear as our unofficial mascot, then voted to make the panda our official mascot during International Convention 2017. AOII donates hundreds of pandas every year to children attending annual Juvenile Arthritis (JA) Conferences and camps. In arthritis circles, AOIIs are known as the Panda People, an honor we are proud to claim. Pandas are unique for having no known natural enemies and are especially beloved by AOIIs, JA children and their families. AOII is a proud member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). Founded in 1902, AOII joined in 1905 as the 12th member organization to support collaboration and inter-fraternal friendships. NPCs mission is to serve as the premier advocacy and support organization for the advancement of the sorority experience. NPC organizations are represented on more than 670 college and university campuses across North America and by more than 4.8 million women worldwide. AOII is proud to celebrate our friendships across badges with a commitment to relationships built on mutual respect and trust, and through our core values of friendship, leadership, service, character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty.

The purpose of EWU Archery is to provide the opportunity for students interested in archery to participate in practices and/or competitions. We welcome archers of all skill levels to join and be a part of our community.
FAQ
Where will we be shooting? The Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse.
Who can join? Any EWU student who is ready to have fun and be safe! No experience is needed; we will teach you everything you need to know.
Do I need my own gear? You do not need your own equipment to join the club. We provide everything you will need to shoot. If you happen to own equipment already, bring it to practice and if it passes our coaches safety check you are good to use it.
When are practices? Wednesday from 6pm-8pm and Sunday from 4pm-6pm
Do I have to pay to join? Yes, club dues are $25 per quarter. There is also another fee of $20 to pay for your membership with USA archery.
What should I wear to practice? Wear comfortable clothing that is close-fitted to the body to avoid interfering with the string during the shot. If you have long hair, you will need to tie it up before shooting. And generally you want to avoid accessories.

Army ROTC is synonymous with the Department of Military Science.ROTC is one of the Nation├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬┤s top leadership programs and is part ofEastern├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬┤s college curriculum. Students learn first-hand what it takes tolead others, motivate groups and train as an Officer in the U.S. Army.Upon graduation from college and completion of Army ROTC, studentsearn the rank of Second Lieutenant and are commissioned into theActive Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard.ROTC is a volunteer program. It offers a two-, three-, four- or five yearcurriculum in leadership, both theoretical and practical. Studentslearn the fundamentals of leadership, then progress into larger roles toimprove their level of proficiency. Many other ├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬║life skills├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬╣, such as timemanagement, oral and written communications, first aid and personalfitness are also integrated into ROTC. The program offers an electivecurriculum that students take with other college courses. ROTC Cadetslive a normal college experience ├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬¼ augmented by military science classesand practical training. ROTC classes are open to ALL enrolled EWUstudents, and there is no obligation or commitment to the Army unlessthe student chooses this option. Students who wish to contract mustmeet medical, physical and military screening standards. The programalso offers a leadership laboratory, off-campus training and internshipopportunities. Both a major and a minor are offered.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, often called The Gentle Art, is a self-defense system and sport that is popular world wide. Similar to wrestling, a majority of BJJ skills take place on the ground. With a focus on leverage and technique, BJJ is useful and practical for all body types. We are open to all skill levels so come on down if its your first time ever or if you are looking for a new spar partner. We have uniforms to borrow, lessons planned with local gyms and are open to finding better times to meet up.

We want to work towards competing but if you are looking for a more casual experience we can work with you and your schedule. People are an asset and we want everyone to improve at their own pace.
