The purpose of EWU Archery is to provide the opportunity for students interested in archery to participate in practices and/or competitions. We welcome archers of all skill levels to join and be a part of our community.
FAQ
Where will we be shooting?The Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse.
Who can join?Any EWU student who is ready to have fun and be safe! No experience is needed; we will teach you everything you need to know.
Do I need my own gear? You do not need your own equipment to join the club. We provide everything you will need to shoot. If you happen to own equipment already, bring it to practice and if it passes our coaches safety check you are good to use it.
When are practices?Tuesdays from 6:00pm- 8:00pm, Sundays from 4:00pm- 6:00pm
Do I have to pay to join?Yes, club dues are $10 per quarter. There is also another fee of $15 to pay for your membership with USA archery.
What should I wear to practice? Wear comfortable clothing that is close-fitted to the body to avoid interfering with the string during the shot. If you have long hair, you will need to tie it up before shooting. And generally you want to avoid accessories.

Mission
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, often called The Gentle Art, is a self-defense system and sport that is popular world wide. Similar to wrestling, a majority of BJJ skills take place on the ground. With a focus on leverage and technique, BJJ is useful and practical for all body types. We are open to all skill levels so come on down if its your first time ever or if you are looking for a new spar partner. We have uniforms to borrow, lessons planned with local gyms and are open to finding better times to meet up.

Work with local professors from Jiu Jitsu Gyms all around Spokane with the focus of improving you ability to protect yourself. We want to work towards competing but if you are looking for a more casual experience we can work with you and your schedule. People are an asset and we want everyone to improve at their own pace.

We are a group of students who love to rock climb and want to get others excited about climbing, too! Students of all skill levels are welcome to join or just hang out with us if they would like to. We encourage, but do not require, our members to compete in the Northwest Collegiate Climbing Competitions (NC3) in order to meet other climbers from different schools and to build a stronger climbing community in the Northwest. We also plan outdoor trips for students to go on if they so desire.

We strive to provide access to shotgun shooting sports disciplines to students attending EWU, and to teach firearm safety and proficiency skills that will help build a foundation and doorway to shotgun shooting, a sport you can do for the rest of your life. We practice Trap, Skeet, 5 Stand, and Sporting Clays, and more!

The EWU Club Fastpitch team is open to all students who love to play and want to further their softball career at a collegiate club level. We practice twice a week (Fall, Winter and Spring Quarter) and are apart of the National Club Softball Association, where we play other college club teams in our area. We typically play around 15-17 games throughout the year! We also plan team-bonding activities to create a comfortable atmosphere for all of our players on and off the field.

EWU Fencing Club (EWUFC) exists to give students the opportunity to learn how to fence and to compete in fencing tournaments. We encourage students of all skill levels to join and become part of the EWUFC community. We focus on foil fencing but also have equipment for épée.

Who can join?
Any EWU student of any skill level can join. No experience required!
Do I need to purchase equipment?
Nope! All equipment is provided. If you already have equipment, you are free to use it as long as it passes a safety check.
Do I have to compete to be in the club?
Members do not have to compete in tournaments to be part of the club. We encourage members to compete in local tournaments when they are ready, but our primary goal is to provide fencing at a level that is comfortable for each member.
What should I wear/bring to practice?
Wear clothes that are comfortable and you can move easily in. Long pants are best, but avoid jeans if possible. Tennis shoes or similar types are generally the best to wear. Long hair will need to be tied up during practice and most accessories should be removed. Additionally, bring a water bottle since we'll be active.

Hockey has a rich and storied history for the Eagles including national championship tournament appearances, conference championships and much more. Our team plays its games against American Colleges and Universities as part of the PAC-8 conference at the American Collegiate Hockey Association's Division II level. During the season you can expect to watch opponents such as Boise State, Western Washington, Oregon, Washington State, UCLA, and Washington.

We are a competitive club soccer team that plays other university teams such as the following: Gonzaga, Central, WSU, Idaho, UW, UM, and UI. Our league includes Fall and Spring Quarter of outdoor soccer, with practices during Winter Quarter. We have most of our competitive games in the Fall, but during the spring we have friendly games and we compete in tournaments against other schools. Practices are held throughout the whole school year.

You can come in with experience and try to make it to nationals and win tournaments for our school, or just come in for a workout by a certified trainer. If you are new to the sport we offer free lessons on wrestling and can help with self-defense. We are a welcoming group regardless of race, religion, gender, orientation, ethnicity, age, income, and background so come in and have fun with us.
