From 1931 until 1967, when the U.S. Government Social Service Programs broadened to include rural areas, AOII supported the Frontier Nursing Service as their national philanthropy.
Our Mascot, The Panda Bear.
In 1976, AOII adopted the Panda Bear as our unofficial mascot, then voted to make the panda our official mascot during International Convention 2017. AOII donates hundreds of pandas every year to children attending annual Juvenile Arthritis (JA) Conferences and camps. In arthritis circles, AOIIs are known as the Panda People, an honor we are proud to claim. Pandas are unique for having no known natural enemies and are especially beloved by AOIIs, JA children and their families. AOII is a proud member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). Founded in 1902, AOII joined in 1905 as the 12th member organization to support collaboration and inter-fraternal friendships. NPCs mission is to serve as the premier advocacy and support organization for the advancement of the sorority experience. NPC organizations are represented on more than 670 college and university campuses across North America and by more than 4.8 million women worldwide. AOII is proud to celebrate our friendships across badges with a commitment to relationships built on mutual respect and trust, and through our core values of friendship, leadership, service, character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty.

This club is for all students, particularly engineering students who are looking to gain hands-on experience designing and building engineering projects. In the past, we have done egg drops, bridge bashes, battlebots, and trebuchets. More recently, the club has focused on sending a group of students to a national engineering competition each year. Students who are looking to grow their skills while having fun with their peers should join the ASME club.

The purpose of EWU Archery is to provide the opportunity for students interested in archery to participate in practices and/or competitions. We welcome archers of all skill levels to join and be a part of our community.
FAQ
Where will we be shooting? The Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse.
Who can join? Any EWU student who is ready to have fun and be safe! No experience is needed; we will teach you everything you need to know.
Do I need my own gear? You do not need your own equipment to join the club. We provide everything you will need to shoot. If you happen to own equipment already, bring it to practice and if it passes our coaches safety check you are good to use it.
When are practices? Wednesday from 6pm-8pm and Sunday from 4pm-6pm
Do I have to pay to join? Yes, club dues are $25 per quarter. There is also another fee of $20 to pay for your membership with USA archery.
What should I wear to practice? Wear comfortable clothing that is close-fitted to the body to avoid interfering with the string during the shot. If you have long hair, you will need to tie it up before shooting. And generally you want to avoid accessories.

Students learn first-hand what it takes tolead others, motivate groups and train as an Officer in the U.S. Army.Upon graduation from college and completion of Army ROTC, studentsearn the rank of Second Lieutenant and are commissioned into theActive Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard.ROTC is a volunteer program. It offers a two-, three-, four- or five yearcurriculum in leadership, both theoretical and practical. Studentslearn the fundamentals of leadership, then progress into larger roles toimprove their level of proficiency. Many other ├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬║life skills├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬╣, such as timemanagement, oral and written communications, first aid and personalfitness are also integrated into ROTC. The program offers an electivecurriculum that students take with other college courses. ROTC Cadetslive a normal college experience ├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬¼ augmented by military science classesand practical training. ROTC classes are open to ALL enrolled EWUstudents, and there is no obligation or commitment to the Army unlessthe student chooses this option. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, often called The Gentle Art, is a self-defense system and sport that is popular world wide. Similar to wrestling, a majority of BJJ skills take place on the ground. With a focus on leverage and technique, BJJ is useful and practical for all body types. We are open to all skill levels so come on down if its your first time ever or if you are looking for a new spar partner. We have uniforms to borrow, lessons planned with local gyms and are open to finding better times to meet up.

We are the Diversified Greek Council representing the Greek Multicultural Fraternities and Sororities here at Eastern Washington University. DGC was started on Eastern├óÔé¼┼í├âÔÇ×├â┬┤s campus in 2008 and has grown to include five (5) sororities (Alpha Pi Sigma National Sorority, Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Kappa Delta Chi Sorority Inc., Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc., Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc) and three (3) Fraternities (Omega Delta Phi Fraternity Inc., Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc.,Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc.). Along with the 8 DGC organizations, we currently have 1 associate member sororities Omega Phi Chi Multi-Cultural Sorority Inc. Currently DGC has a total of five (5) sororities and three (3) fraternities for a total of eight (8) organizations within its jurisdiction.Within the EWU community, our numbers may not be the biggest compared to other councils. Our council strives for the equal representation of multicultural students in our organizations.We believe that our set of goals and values amongst our organizations provide students with the opportunity to engage in something greater than the average college experience. Some activities that you might see DGC Organizations participating in on campus are: Yard show performances, Tabling in the PUB, Service events in coordinance with the office of community engagement, Raising funs for our National Philanthropy's and participating in our councils Step and Stroll Competition *MAYHEM*. The ECEG Garden Club exists as a wellness resource to cultivate interest in gardening, enrich student lives, transfer knowledge and skills to care for the Earth and each other, and ease the burden of food insecurity on campus. We meet in the EWU Community Garden, campus greenhouses, or other campus locations depending on meeting type and time of year! While we plant, maintain and harvest the garden, our clubs aims to do more than garden. We plan other events such as organic dye, food and beverage demonstrations, shares and swaps to teach other sustainable habits, and distribute garden produce to the Central Food Pantry or at tabling events. The Theatre Program offers: The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, for those who wish to enter the profession or for those who wish to prepare for graduate school; and the Bachelor of Arts in Education, with a major in Theatre, for those who wish to teach grades 4-12. Minors are available in both degree programs. This program is designed to give the student a thorough preparation in all aspects of theatre, both to equip the potential elementary and secondary teacher with the necessary knowledge and skills and to support any graduate school specialty the major may choose to pursue.

The range of elective courses permits the major a small amount of specialization within the curriculum, but the primary intention of the curriculum is to achieve a broad fundamental preparation in theatre, with the belief that specialization is the proper pursuit of graduate study. In addition to classroom studies, the program offers valuable hands-on experience in virtually every phase of theatrical production, whether it be acting, directing, singing, costuming, or a myriad of technical and design skills. Each major is expected and required to be available to work on every production in the program's season.

Each University season is chosen for balance and variety. Productions range from classical to modern in plays and include musicals. Plays are produced in the University Theatre, a modern, well-equipped plant, opened in 1972. The theatre is located in the university's College of Fine Arts Complex, in close proximity to the Music, Art, and Radio-Television departments. Students are encouraged to supplement their theatre studies with exploration in other fields in order to better understand theatre as an art form, a field of study in the liberal arts, and as an area of human activity and endeavor with a long history that affects us every day.

All theatre faculty participate in, and are available for, advising with classes and registration.

Who can join?
Any EWU student of any skill level can join. No experience required!
Do I need to purchase equipment?
Nope! All equipment is provided. If you already have equipment, you are free to use it as long as it passes a safety check.
Do I have to compete to be in the club?
Members do not have to compete in tournaments to be part of the club. We encourage members to compete in local tournaments when they are ready, but our primary goal is to provide fencing at a level that is comfortable for each member.
What should I wear/bring to practice?
Wear clothes that are comfortable and you can move easily in. Long pants are best, but avoid jeans if possible. Tennis shoes or similar types are generally the best to wear. Long hair will need to be tied up during practice and most accessories should be removed. Additionally, bring a water bottle since we'll be active.

Since the official organization of the club in 2003, EWURFC has grown in popularity as the participants in rugby nationally has skyrocketed in the last decade. Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate students who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications: At least 15 completed quarter credits of psychology. A minimum GPA for psychology classes of 3.3. A minimum overall EWU GPA of 3.0.Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS). Psi Chi's sister honor society is Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for community and junior colleges. Psi Chi functions as a federation of chapters located at over 1,000 senior colleges and universities in the USA and Canada. The International Office is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. A council, composed of psychologists who are Psi Chi members and who are elected by the chapters, guides the affairs of the organization and sets policy with the approval of the chapters. Psi Chi serves two major goals: Academic recognition to its inductees by the mere fact of membership;Local chapters nurture the spark of that accomplishment by offering a climate congenial to its creative development. For example, the chapters make active attempts to nourish and stimulate professional growth through programs designed to augment and enhance the regular curriculum and to provide practical experience and fellowship through affiliation with the chapter. In addition, the national organization provides programs to help achieve these goals, including national and regional conventions held annually in conjunction with the psychological associations, research award competitions, and certificate recognition programs. The Society publishes a quarterly magazine, Eye on Psi Chi, which helps to unite the members, inform them and recognize their contributions and accomplishments. The quarterly Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research, fosters and rewards the scholarly efforts of undergraduate psychology students and provides a valuable learning experience by introducing them to the publishing and review process. Students become members by joining the chapter at the school where they are enrolled. Psi Chi chapters are operated by student officers and faculty advisors. Together they select and induct the members and carry out the goals of the Society. All chapters register their inductees at the National Office, where the membership records are preserved for reference purposes. The total number of memberships preserved at the national office during the first 75 years is over 467,000. Many of these members have gone on to distinguished careers in psychology.

Sigma Nu Fraternity was founded in 1869 at Virginia Military Institute and Sigma Nu was introduced as the first fraternity on campus in 1970. Sigma Nu was built on Love, Truth, and Honor and follows these principles in everyday activities. We consider our brothers family and create a brotherhood unlike any other.

Welcome to snyamncut! We are excited to have you living with us this year. You may be wondering why snyamncut is lowercase and doesn't have the word "hall" after it (like Pearce Hall). That's because snyamncut is a Salish word for place of gathering. Thus it would be redundant to add "hall" after snyamncut. It would be like saying Hall Hall! Also, the Salish language doesn't have capital letters! The more you know. Our mission is to support those in the STEM field. We would like to make the SWE club apart of the National chapter SWE and attend global conferences, such as the one they are hosting in November in Boston. Within the club, we want those in the STEM field to feel supported and encouraged in all areas. Thus including, career, community out-reach, within peers (especially at EWU), and hope to grow each others network and abilities, such as laser cutting, auto cad, soldering, and more! The purpose of the SWE chapter shall be to encourage and support those in
engineering and STEM fields. Giving hands-on experience, community outreach
and career growth.

This club is to support women and all in STEM majors, we like to include everyone outside of STEM majors to join, as within engineering you will work in areas that may need someone in Education, or someone from construction. Within the benefits, we do hands-on stem activities and training, such as soldering, sewing, laser cutting and more! And will be doing out-reach activities such as possibly going to highschools and middle schools and showing them the kind of STEM they can engage in within EWU.

Advising as to what items your club may purchase with the two types of accounts that we manage on your behalf.Assistance with online purchases, use of Purchase Orders, use of Open Purchase Orders with local├é┬¼├óÔé¼┬ávendors, and use of Memorandum of Agreement forms.Assistance with any travel that your club or organization would like to arrange.Our goal is to assist you in the most professional and efficient manner possible├é┬¼├óÔé¼┬áin the spending of your club and organization funds.├é┬¼├óÔé¼┬á We know that many students are not familiar with the processes that are required to disburse these funds and are happy to spend time with you to teach you everything that you need to know.
